Effect of Different Types of Bracing System and Shear Wall on the Seismic Response of RC Buildings Resting on Sloped Terrain

Several factors have been affecting the urban design areas, leading to construction of reinforced concrete (RC) buildings. Buildings on sloped terrains gaining increased popularity, especially from architectural peers. The vulnerability constructions seismic loads increases due mass and vertical irregularity, which in turn torsional moments as well shear forces. To control effect loads, many systems implemented, including walls bracing systems. objective this work is evaluate effects different strengthening identify most suitable one for load resistance. This paper studies behavior buildings with applied using ETABS V18.1 response spectrum analysis. A parametric study these has performed them. dynamic analysis terms forces, displacement, drift, fundamental time period, base shear, story stiffness was carried out. results demonstrated that use a combined system stability models resistance RC terrains.
